Questions
What is a WhatsApp click-to-chat link?
It is a wa.me link that opens a chat with a WhatsApp number without saving the number first. You can add a message that appears typed in, ready to send.
How do I write my number in the link?
Use the full international format: country code, then the number, with no plus sign, spaces, dashes, brackets or leading zero. For India, that is 91 followed by your 10-digit mobile number.
Does it work with WhatsApp Business and the WhatsApp Business API?
Yes. The link works with any WhatsApp number, including WhatsApp Business app numbers and numbers on the WhatsApp Business API.
Where should I use the QR code?
On your shop counter, bills, packaging, menus, brochures, posters and event standees. Scanning it with a phone camera opens the chat.
Is this tool free? Do you store my number?
It is free with no sign-up. The link and QR code are made in your browser, and nothing you type is sent to us.
Can I see who tapped my link?
Not with a plain wa.me link. With Automate AI, every chat lands in a shared inbox, contacts are saved automatically, and smart links in campaigns show who tapped.
Turn every chat into a customer.
Automate AI puts every chat from your link in a shared inbox, replies instantly with a chatbot or the AI Assistant, and saves each contact for your campaigns.
