Samples only: Meta reviews every template, so change the wording to match your business. The highlighted parts are variables, filled in for each customer.
Order, payment, delivery and refund updates are utility. Cart reminders, sales and new arrivals are marketing.
Keep offers out of order updates. One line of promotion turns the whole template into marketing.
Send promotions only to shoppers who agreed to hear from you on WhatsApp, for example through a clear tick box at checkout.
Keep sale dates and stock claims true. Don’t write that something is nearly gone unless it is.

Marketing. It encourages a purchase the shopper hasn’t made yet, so it needs the marketing category and the shopper’s opt-in.
You can, but the whole template then counts as marketing. Send the update and the promotion as two separate templates.
They are samples to start from, not pre-approved templates. Meta reviews every template, so approval isn’t guaranteed, and you should adjust the wording to match your store and what you actually do.
Create your templates, submit them to Meta and send them in campaigns, follow-up sequences and chatbots.
